The Saw Doctors
It's been six years since The Saw Doctors last played Cambridge. When they first played their position on the bill raised almost as many double takes as The Zutons did this year.
It took a six aside charity football match to win over the crew and about one song to convince the doubters. It also elevated them to the status of 'festival favourites' something they've enjoyed on pretty much every return visit.
I'm not sure if The Saw Doctors are still capable of playing a hard fought game of six aside, even without the ringers, but I'm absolutely sure they're still capable of blistering live performances.
Reports from the band's US tour confirm they've still got 'it'. New, less familiar material is mixed in with the old standards whilst keeping the audience dancing and pumping away on a high octane mix of Celtic fuelled rock.
This one will be lively, The Saw Doctors know how to put a show together. Live is their element as testified by the live to studio ratio of their 21 odd alums to date.
